At this retreat, you can participate at your own pace and whichever way feels authentic and nourishing for you. We will start by gathering in a circle around a prayer fire and make offerings to the nature spirits and singing songs together. This is an opportunity for you to set your intention for the weekend and bond with a group of new friends. After supper, you can relax in the sauna and hot tub. 

On Saturday, we will go on a magical journey as we share yoga, meditation, breathwork and shamanic journeying - with the specific purpose of revealing more of our true purpose and destiny. This leads you to a beautiful cacao ceremony and guided dance process, to embody your vocation and vivify your soul's essence. Finally you will rest and integrate with a beautiful sound bath, followed by dinner and another sauna and hot tub session. 

On Sunday, after the morning yoga, meditation and breathwork, we will have a Community Healing session. This is an opportunity for you to participate with gentle foundation healing practices, whilst witnessing advanced healing techniques facilitated by the team (which you can learn to do, if you join our healers' training course). Before you leave, you will have time to share and integrate - and have lunch.

What is a healer? - In my book, 'Becoming a Healer for Yourself & Others', I describe a healer as: "one who holds a safe, sacred space that allows another to share their pain, feel their wounds and release repressed emotions and misplaced energies. The healer can then facilitate strengthening their energy body, retrieval of some of their true essence and an infusion of light, power and grace. They may support the recipient to envision their life and integrate changes". 

 Why do we need 'healers'? - Everyone experiences some level of trauma and wounding in their lives, be it from illness, bereavement, abuse, neglect, displacement or conflict. This can create stuck emotions of grief, anger, shame, guilt and fear and patterns of depression, addictions and dysfunctional relationships. These tend to get passed down through families, until someone has the awareness, opportunity and courage to transform it. That's where a healer's presence, experience, skills and support may be helpful.

Wounded Healers - The very afflictions that you carry, have the potential to become doorways to gifts, such as creative talents and discovering your vocation. All the pain that you have been through can assist your capacity for compassion and ability to hold space for others to heal as you are. We can only support others as deeply as we have healed ourselves, so its essential to dive deeply into your own personal transformation. We can alchemise the pain into power - becoming filled with passion and purpose to support others to heal and transform their lives too.

How do I become a healer? - We are all work in progress, and don't need to be totally sorted before we can be in service to others. We do need to embrace our own healing journey and personal growth and develop techniques through which we can channel our natural healing abilities and gain experience at holding space.   

Becoming a Healer weekend retreat - gives you the opportunity to undergo personal transformation and experience practises for self-development and participate in healing sessions, whilst witnessing experienced practitioners undertake deep healing work.   

Our next accredited Shamanic Practitioner & Energy Healer Course starts May 20th in Dorset - this is an ideal taster weekend, to see if this is the right course for you. There is no pressure to join, it has to feel right to you. All those who sign up over the weekend will receive a special bonus!

The venue - Golden Grove - This venue near Carmarthen comes highly recommended by some of our team due to the facilities, sense of wilderness, seclusion and the lovely hosts. You will be able to explore the gardens and land, and enjoy the spa - ice-bath, sauna and hot tub! if you live in the UK, this location requires no flights. 

The Team - Each crew member brings a wealth of healing, space-holding, musical, life and ceremonial experience and professional skills such as counselling or trauma therapy, plus their love, care and support for your best experience. • Cancellations - Should the events need to be cancelled or postponed, you would receive your payment refunded in full. If the event goes ahead, and you decide to cancel, then the deposit is non-refundable, which is 33% of the retreat fee. 
• Who is elligible? - This retreat in open to anyone with an interest in healing. You do not need to have any previous experience of healing. 
• Health & Safety - You will be invited to participate in movement, yoga, dance and sit on cushions on the floor. You will need to complete and sign a form to ensure your health is compatible with this retreat, and to let us know if you have any food allergies, and what medications you are taking, if any. if you have any special needs or concerns, please book a chat with Karishma Sue to discuss this.  
• Accommodation - Prices are based on sharing simple shared rooms. There is space for up to 15 participants. There is also space for campers and caravans too (please let us know in advance, so that we can organise the rooms). 
• Meals - Vegan and gluten-free are catered for, as well as optional eggs. 
• Travel - We will set up a Telegram group so that we can organise lift shares. The nearest airports are Swansea, Cardiff and Bristol, or by bus/train to Carmarthen.
